The March Hare is in fifth grade this year and his teacher does a Fall Festival that helps the kids understand what it may have been like for the Pilgrims. She has them eat soup, hard bread and raw veggies from a tin bowl. Then play games that Pilgrim children may have played (long before video games and iPhones) like seed spitting contests and three legged races. I, after much begging, was able to bring my moms professional camera and catch all the action as it happened!
sounds like a fun and interesting day for everyone! good for them!! and that is the best way to learn....
