Baby Update w/ Photo's

Saturday - 4.27.2013

Well my little Rosebud is doing great! Loves to cuddle with mom, of course. She's a good sleeper, good eater at night but eating during the day has been a bit of a challenge. I'm breastfeeding, so she'll eat for 5 - 8 minutes every 30 - 60 minutes during the day. Then be fussy toward the early evening, I starting to think she has colic, not terribly, but enough to make her fuss. At night though she will sleep 4 - 5 hours before wanting to nurse and then nurse for about a half hour. Hopefully it doesn't get worse than this.

The only frustration I'm running into right now is the balancing act. Most my time has to go to her during the day since she's kind of attached, so the other kids have step up their need for attention. Especially my three year old, the Dormouse. I'm trying my best to show her what she needs, but finding it extremely hard to keep my cool around her, as she seems to be more loud and annoying then usual. I hope this phase passes quickly.

So I'm learning what having 3 kids is really going to be all about. Tweedle-Mom had 3 kids and she said that going from 1 to 2 was hard yes, but going from 2 to 3 was shocking. I thought I was strong and would be able to handle this no problem... I'm starting to think twice... this... may... be... harder... then... I... though!

I found pictures of my other two kids when they were newborns and thought I would share just how much they look alike! My two girls could be twins!

Friday's Fave #23 & FTSF

Friday - 4.26.2013

Well, adventurers, it's been a quick week with not a lot happening. Just been hanging with my hubby and babies. The Dormouse has been sick all week so that's fun and the Rosebud is 2 weeks old today! It's crazy. I feel like a milk machine! Got my office all cleaned up, at least my office chair is kinda like a rocking chair, so I can feed n rock and work at the same time.

I'm kinda looking forward to next week, as much as I love my hubby being home, I can't get anything started til noon! We stay up late and wake up late, next week goes back to normal, so I'll have to get up early again and get back into my routines. I'm all about routines, I feel out of control without them, which makes me grumpy. I'm less irritable when I'm in a good routine.

The baby is doing fantastic. We are starting to get on a better sleep pattern, which makes mommy's life easier. She's also a binky baby... YEAH! Tomorrow I have a cute post about how much my kids all look alike as newborns.

I have so many giveaways and  blogger opps, I can't even keep up with listing them all! Remember last week I told you guys how I have 3 blogs in 1 now. So if you just want my regular blog feed you can subscribe just to that, or the giveaway feed or blogger opp feed. I wanted to make it so my regular blog isn't flooded with other stuff. This way you can subscribe to just what you want, pick 1 or all 3.

If you think it would be awesome to giveaway vacations to your readers like I am, check out the Make $$$ page to find out how! As usual, go link up over on Tuesday's Tea Party or even better sign-up to co-host!

I joined up with Dawn's Desaster again for FTSF, check out how I finished the sentence. Then get over there and link up yourself! This week's sentence...

I am very passionate about... being a better person. After the death of my first husband 10 years ago, my life spiraled out of control. I became so careless with my life. I used drugs, slept around and paid no attention to the fact that I had a little boy to take care of. I finally pulled my head out of my ass about 4 years ago when I was about to give birth to my second. I realized how bad my ex husband was for me, started reading the Bible again and lots of self help books. I have done a complete 180 in my life since that point.

Been married to an old friend now for 2 1/2 years, just had my third child and we have a quiet, steady and stable life. I have changed so dramatically, come so far from rock bottom all thanks to God and the desire for a better life, for me and for my kids. But as far as I have come there is always room for more improvement, my temper needs some adjusting still, desperately working on being a more positive person and taking more time out of each day for each of my kids.

Yes, everyday I devote myself to being a better person, in fact that's why I started this blog. To remind myself where I've been and keep myself on track for where I want to be.

Mommy, for real

When you think about what your children will become as adults, look in the mirror. This post was beautiful, seeing the beauty of life through her daughters eyes. Seeing a part of herself in her daughter, nothing make a parent more happy than seeing our GOOD qualities coming out in our children. Cherish those, it means a job well done. Let's all remember the daily examples we set for our children are for better or for worse. Monkey see... Monkey do.

This is a beautiful post about women. There isn't one of us that doesn't need some part of what's spoken about here. We all need support, let's work together to build stronger women. Less putting down and more building up! Join the (in) RL network for more encouragement from positive women!

The beginning of this post about a Facebook sharing toilet is stinking (no pun intended) hilarious! I laughed so hard, my hubby wanted to know what I was reading, we sat on the couch cracking up together. Thanks needed that laugh!

What's with all the potty posts? Well this one is an everyday event for me and every other mom I know. You mean you actually get to shut the door while your pooping?!?! Mine just follow me in there! And seriously the kids could be playing quietly in their rooms for hours but I get the notion to poop and BAM there they are! I feel ya mama.

Being a mom is hard enough but throw blogging or any other type of work in there and next thing you know your writing post like this! It's an excellent description of what motherhood for a blogger looks like!
