Baby Update w/ Photo's

Saturday - 4.27.2013

Well my little Rosebud is doing great! Loves to cuddle with mom, of course. She's a good sleeper, good eater at night but eating during the day has been a bit of a challenge. I'm breastfeeding, so she'll eat for 5 - 8 minutes every 30 - 60 minutes during the day. Then be fussy toward the early evening, I starting to think she has colic, not terribly, but enough to make her fuss. At night though she will sleep 4 - 5 hours before wanting to nurse and then nurse for about a half hour. Hopefully it doesn't get worse than this.

The only frustration I'm running into right now is the balancing act. Most my time has to go to her during the day since she's kind of attached, so the other kids have step up their need for attention. Especially my three year old, the Dormouse. I'm trying my best to show her what she needs, but finding it extremely hard to keep my cool around her, as she seems to be more loud and annoying then usual. I hope this phase passes quickly.

So I'm learning what having 3 kids is really going to be all about. Tweedle-Mom had 3 kids and she said that going from 1 to 2 was hard yes, but going from 2 to 3 was shocking. I thought I was strong and would be able to handle this no problem... I'm starting to think twice... this... may... be... harder... then... I... though!

I found pictures of my other two kids when they were newborns and thought I would share just how much they look alike! My two girls could be twins!

  1. My girls had the same gown as your oldest, love the Winnie the Pooh mittens attached to it. For me, going from 1 to 2 kids was somewhat a breeze, but probably because Lily, our oldest, was always such an independent spirit. She wanted a sibling so badly and was not jealous at all. We don't want to have a third until much later, if at all, because Violet, our younger, is Lily's polar opposite and very attached. I don't think she could handle a younger sibling at the moment. Just keep all your kids involved with the baby, let them help or watch you. I'm sure Dormouse will adjust soon!
